Whilst attending the Lyle Gateway on the 14/02/2025, attendees raised the following comments:
            - One attendee questioned why Inverclyde needs 3 Greggs shops.
            - There was suggestion around creating a market with stalls selling locally made produced in the Library.
            - One commented that the local authority should better co-design (with the community) local parks to better meet the needs of community.
            - More fitness provisions for elderly people.
            - Free outdoor gym equipment in open spaces to encourage healthier lifestyles.
            - It was suggested to advertise community spaces/events through the Greenock Telegraph (reference was made to the International Cafe being so well attended on the 14/02 at the Lyle which was advertised in the Telegraph.)
            - Greater local authority presence on Facebook to interact with local residents.

Whilst attending the Lyle Gateway on the 14/02/2025, attendees raised the following comments:

              - It is really difficult for people to get a dental appointment/NHS dentist in Inverclyde with one attendee having to travel to Bishopton and another travelling to Paisley to receive treatment.
              - It was raised again about the decline in Greenock Town Centre with one commenting that it 'wasn't what it used to be.'
              - Again communication from the local authority/third sector was raised. She said it was difficult to know what is going on locally.
              - One attendee has recently moved back to the area and there is a lack of School places available in Inverclyde.
              - Not enough female only spaces in Inverclyde (safe spaces).
              - One commented that they didn't feel there was enough places/information available locally to help people stop smoking. She suggested there being 'help stands'/leaflets in community hub settings/outside pharmacies and in GP surgeries.

AS - 'I love it in Gourock.' The shops in Greenock town centre are dilapidated and the lack of clarity around where you can and cannot park in Greenock has had an impact on shopping. The parking in Gourock however is great and I use the shops locally to me.

Whilst attending the Lyle Gateway on the 13/02/2025, attendees raised the following comments:
                  - A carer who was with a patient at the event stated that there not is not enough places to take people suffering from dementia in Inverclyde and the hubs that do provide services are not well publicised. They suggested that the local authority/community spaces email over the programme of activities directly to care homes/services.
                  - One attendee who is part of the Inverclyde heritage society/network said that she was extremely proud to be from Greenock and Inverclyde and felt sad about the often negative press the area is given. She suggested that it would be a good project to get young people to design murals to be spray painted/painted onto the sides of derelict buildings and tired looking spaces to celebrate Inverclyde's history. She referenced the Alloway Railway Tunnel art project which was co-designed by young people with a local artist.

                    (Continued comments)
                    - Fixing the building at the bottom of John Street. This is an eyesore, this has been like this for a long time. Doesn;t look very nice for the visitors who pass through Gourock. This would have been fixed a long time ago if we were still under Gourock Council. It will only take an accident, it is not safe to walk along past this eyesore, this needs tackled before i have any further say.

                      Gourock Park Bowling Club 13.02.2025
                      - The facility of a lunch club would be much appreciated. It would give me much needed company, a home made meal. Would be more than happy to pay. The Kirn Drive community centre was an ideal situation but the council sold it off. We need the 540 bus re-instated. Gourock people need to pay for taxis to get to the health centre, hospital, and Gourock Town Centre.
                      - Where are the opportunities? We need lifelong learning, we need inclusivity. I think there needs to be more in regards to older care, dementia friendly, and autism awareness etc.
                      - Venues: Warm spaces are beneficial, hopefully these will be continued / supported. Possible venues for learning first etc could be the gamble halls or anywhere else nearby.
                      - We have asked for plans for better utilisation of the tennis courts that have been dismissed times, at Gourock park bowling club. This makes me feel like not getting involved because these opinions are not being heard.
