Greenock East and Central Community ConversationYour Community
Recent engagement has highlighted the community members are unaware of how to be more involved in their local community in relation to having their say.
- We want to hear what would be the best way to promote opportunities to you?
- What would encourage you to be more involved
- What barriers exist in relation to having your say!

Whilst at Broomhill Community Hub on the 02/12/2024 several the following points were raised:
- There are too many shops commissioned to sell vapes in Greenock Town Centre, including several vape shops in and around West Blackhall Street.
- There is too much abandoned or derelict housing/buildings stock across Inverclyde which could be repurposed for the homeless.
- Concerns were raised around female safety near the Holiday Inn Express where they said they felt intimidated by groups of males congregating on the water front.
- One attendee raised concerns around lack of home help type assistance for the elderly in Inverclyde.
