    - I do not know how to report concerns and where to if it is not a police matter.
    - I feel like reporting concerns should be advertised better as right now i do not have the confidence to report anything.

      - I think Dubbs road shops / park teenagers are always hanging around here evenings and weekends as they have no where else to go.

      - Open up a youth club that is open every night of the week, this would help promote activities such as street football, netball or craft clubs.

      - I think there should be more advertisement in schools for activities

**Responses from Port Glasgow Community Council - 25th November 2024**
        1. There should be more lighting across public paths especially on Fore Street, Port Glasgow.
        2. There should be more wardens around Dubbs Road.
        3. The number for the wardens need advertised more.
        4. There is a hazard with the Church Street gutters inside the alleyway. The gutters are deteriorating and could fall on someone.
        5. There is a fly tipping issue at King Street, Port Glasgow.

Personally, I feel fairly safe in our area due to driving everywhere i go. Although, I think that some younger people may feel unsafe in certain parts of Inverclyde as historically they have been unsafe. I feel there is an element of safety however, we lack police presence in many areas.

There should be community service for those that get caught with drugs on the street. Should be fined for taking drugs in the street or in public spaces. Police need resoruces to deal with lower level drug use as this spirals often.

Drugs are a massive issue with people openly taking drugs in the street with no police action. Openly smoking cannabis walking past police officers and taking drugs in pubs in full view of all. Cocaine is a worse problem than alcohol and its devastating families.
the mental health system is failing as much of the crime is related to mental health and drugs which are all related.
Resources for police are at an all time low.

there is a lack of spaces for young people to go. They hang about the streets now

I feel many young people feel entitled when out in the community and have little respect for the law or others in the community. Many struggle with boundaries and wish to get everything for no work.

Poverty and crime are cyclical. Wont get better with people losing their jobs due to business taxes increased

I personally know some police officers and they tell me that they feel there is a lack of support
