There aren't many places to go in the winter, to make friends, and have a chat, if this doesn't happen then I don't think I will have anywhere to go

Gourock Park bowling club is a fantastic facility every Thursday. My dad sadly passed away suddenly in May this year just a few weeks short of his 90th birthday. He so loved going here every Thursday & made so many new friends & loved the music & really appreciated a cuppa & a scone from the tea trolley. I really appreciate everything Gourock Park bowling club did for him before his sudden passing . Neil Coll
Over the past 2 years our Thursdays have been very successful, supporting our surrounding community. We are already up and running this year and our numbers are high over the past 4 weeks.
Amazing Facility, bringing people together,with live entertainment, and even some dancing,for some people it is the only social event for them that week.It is a great gathering every week,a chance for a right natter and a nice cuppa and scones etc,but most of all it’s warm and extremely friendly..!! 👍👍
I attend the club for various activities and I fully support this application, It is a great place to meet new people.

Having the Warm Space, in the Gourock Park Bowling Club has given me something to look forward to in the colder days,and has definitely improved my mental well being, as I live alone.Lovely meeting up with friends and enjoying the Skelpies music really cheers me up!!
Essential for warm spaces funding as very well utilised organisation for different generations to gather over some difficult winter months for many .
Fabulous club offering a warm space to everyone in the winter months and the skelpies provide live music and some wonderful volunteers make tea and suppliy cakes
This is an invaluable support for lonely and vulnerable people during cold winter months. Fuel poverty, loneliness and depression in colder weather can be devastating. This warm space has proven to be well attended and feedback has been consistently positive over the past 2 years. The warm friendly welcome, physical warmth, chance to talk and to sing along with the Skelpies has been of significant benefit . GPBC is central, accessible and surrounded by beautiful landscape in Gourock Park to enjoy those rare bright dry days in Winter. What could be better?
