Fantastic resource providing a friendly warm space for the community with added bonus of meeting many new people and live music. Accessibility is good and well used.

The Gourock Park Bowling Club Warm Space has cheered up the winters of many people over the past 2 years. It regularly has 30-40 people attending, heating 1 room instead of 30+ rooms.

Some people get 2 buses to get there, in freezing cold weather & torrential rain, which shows how important it is to them.

Not only is it a Warm Space, it's become a social hub that people look forward to every week. They make new friends & sing along to the cheery music of The Skelpies. There's some dancing too!

Music & dancing is recognised to have many health benefits, physical, social, mental, and reduces cognitive decline.

The club is not a rich club, and needs this grant to pay the bills associated with running the Warm Space which has so many benefits for so many people.

Great facility, safe warm place for members of our local community to meet, enjoy chat, music and a cuppa .

I've been using this warm space since it began. I've found it invaluable for meeting people new and old. As the weather turns dark and cold I am meeting neighbours that I otherwise would not see until lighter days. As I have retired now miss work colleagues so by coming to the warm space I can catch up with what's happening in my community and wider Inverclyde. The chat, singing warm drink and food sets me up for the day and it gives me something to look forward to the next week when I can once again have a social life. It is valuable to me as my family know that I am getting out and about and being social as well as being warm.

It is a wonderful way to socialise, great place to entertain, the many people who have visited gourock Park Bowling club,during the Warmspace, which has proved very successful and popular..!! 👍👍

Great place to go for company really friendly everyone is welcomed it might be the only people you speak to all day if you live alone .Skelpies are brillant something that is needed for Gourock .

I look forward to this warm place every week. The company and of course the tea amd scone.

Valuable community facility in a very accessible location for people travelling by car or public transport. Singing is good for the soul!!

This always looks busy and having live music is fantastic for community spirit. I hope that this is able to continue!
