Access to affordable childcare has been highlighted as barrier for families across Inverclyde, we are looking to discuss the following:
- What does affordable out of school childcare mean to you?
- What childcare do you currently use, if any?
- What is important to you if you do access childcare?
Would you be interested in
- a career in Out of School Childcare/Childminding/Breakfast Clubs or Parent Stay and Play?
If yes tell us what would prevent this from happening?
I spoke with YP from Clydeview about this & this was their feedback:
Young people did not have much to say about this as they felt it wasn’t relevant to them. But did say that there is little trust with child care providers and would feel uncomfortable leaving their child with strangers.
