  • Comment from family: " i mean having a hot roll provided for us at no cost to us is great, but I love the social element. I'm at home with the kids myself and have no other support but being at group I can sit around a table eating and chatting with other parents in the same situation. It really helps me feel like I'm out with friends and breaks up my day. After group, I feel so much more confident facing the rest of the day. "

    • Comment from family: "I come to a few different groups across the week and it makes a big difference to us. We are out meeting friends and the kids are happy. I don't need to worry about the cost of gas and electricity for those hours across the week when at group. The hot rolls also means I know we will be fed and it allows me to try to save a little bit of money. Without group and the rolls I wouldn't be able to put any money away as the cost of heating and food is so high just now we are left with very little"

      • Comment from family: "I love coming to groups, I always put my kids first so as a parent I never get a hot breakfast. It's great to be able to catch up with adults and have something hot while my child is happy playing in a safe, welcoming environment."

        • Comment from family " Having the hot food provided lets us all be the same. Sometimes if one parent brings snacks they may feel they need to share them with others or other parents may feel they should buy them to remain the same which can put pressure on us. I think the hot rolls are great as we can just enjoy being together with no pressure."

            • Comment from family: " Coming to group really benefits my mental health, it helps to break up my day and i can spend time with other adults. It also means that the few hours I'm there I'm not having to worry about heating my home or what we will eat. It seems small but makes a big difference to me."

              • Comment from family: " We love having the hot rolls during groups, the cost of living is making things difficult and this feels like a real treat as it's something we couldn't afford to do on our own."

                • Comment from family: " I'm struggling trying to get my child to try new food. Being in the group with other children and adults eating my child was more willing to try the food. It was great my child could try this without me worrying about wasting money on food they wouldn't eat."

                    • Comment from family: "Knowing we can get a hot breakfast at groups is great, I'm normally rushing out the door and not got the time to eat."
