The Factory Club, Gourock is a great space for people of all ages, providing home made soups, toasties, desserts and tea and coffee. The volunteers are great with the people who use the great warm space the club offers. Everyone is very friendly with lots of laughs, just what people need in the community.
I volunteered as a waitress/serving person most weeks. I was very impressed by the quality of the food served, a choice of soups followed by a choice of toasties or sandwich and many weeks a pudding as well. The team who made these meals were always careful to provide a nourishing variety with all the accompanying teas and coffees served throughout. Most weeks every table was full, meaning an average of fifty people. Food donations were always the first stop of the day for many visitors as they took advantage of what was on offer. The atmosphere was always very pleasant as people caught up with new acquaintances and old friends.
