- Resurface the roads between Gryffe Rd and Lyle Rd there's too many potholes.

- There should be more support from the wardens and there should be clear communication between them and the local police.
- I think there should be more areas to lock your bikes as currently there are not enough spaces.
- There is a lot of littering from the village centre to the war memorial.

- The Bridge of Weir road is clearly unsafe and i worry about it when crossing over to the bus stop. The 20mph speed sign is not being enforced and i would like to see the data collected at this stop to see what Inverclyde Council will be doing in the future to combat the speeding here.
- The walkway from the village to Lochwinnoch road the pavement is not wide enough and is a tight squeeze, the curbs are not wheelchair accessible which is an issue and does not meet modern standards.
- There is too much congestion in the village when it comes to traffic, we need a pedestrian day perhaps one day at weekends we encourage more walking and cycling throughout the village and this might promote the people coming to the village to visit more local shops. We could even make a 'pedestrian day' for when the local markets are on to help ease congestion.
- There should be better signage for the roads throughout the village.

I think the Bridge of Weir road 20mph sign needs to be enforced as this is a major concern for most residents.
There needs to be more parking spaces in the village.

I think there should be more traffic monitoring at school! There should be regular parking attendants / safety attendants at schools to keep children safer on roads. I do not feel unsafe in Kilmacolm.

We have recently moved in to the area and feel safe as it stands.
Feedback from Cargill Centre café 27/02/2025
1. Traffic and speeding on the Port Glasgow to Bridge of Weir road.
2. Poor Street Lighting - brightness not adequate.
3. Unsafe around the cross as it could be brighter (street lighting)
4. There is a lack of funds in Kilmacolm as we are not a deprived area.
5. When reported to the Community Council we have no funds for our area.
Whilst at the Cargill Centre café on the 26/02/2025 attendees made the following comments:
- There is damage to the pavements outside/near to the entrance to the Pharmacy on Bridge of Weir Road which is a potential trip hazard. Furthermore, it was raised that the pavements across Kilmacolm are not suitable for wheelchair users.
- It was suggested that it may be worth installing speed camera/average speed cameras on Bridge of Weir Road to act as a deterrent and as a traffic calming measure. It was also suggested that awareness was raised in Kilmacolm about the speed limits in place.
- The Co-op in Kilmacolm has previously been subject to young people getting off the bus at the cross road, entering and stealing alcohol before leaving.

Personally, I do not feel 'unsafe' in the village but i know some residents may count themselves as uncomfortable in certain circumstances. To help prevent this feeling there should be more lighting in dark public paths, community wardens to engage with groups of teenagers congregating at night, and actually addressing why they are on the street corners or outside the co-op.

Personally - I have not heard of any trouble in Kilmacolm, but know there are issues in other areas.
Probably would call the local police initially to get advice If i had any concerns and would be directed to the right help available.
