From a volunteer: i spend my Thursday's down at the centre and enjoy being with other people and helping out. I used to be a member of the services and really struggled to get out the house. Knowing we can open longer or more days can help others,
From an adult member: I come every Tuesday and it gets me out the house. I'm a bit better money wise this year but last year it was rough. I was so glad to get down to the centre and when they opened longer it meant i could go more. It saved me having to heat the house"
From an adult member; : I love coming to the centre and spending time with the other people and the staff. Last year the Heat & Eat was brilliant, they even opened the doors up on Christmas day"
We appreciate any support for this project. Our main aim is suicide prevention, and we find that our work increases over the winter months with people struggling with a number of issues. Opening our buiding in Nelson Street for them is a high priority, and helps them battle many issues including isolation and loneliness.
