There’s nothing like a family fun day for all ages which everyone can enjoy and where everyone and come together and can get to know each other and experience a different kind of bonding experience, Involvement and engagement are key to the success of a fun day. Local people will, be involved in designing and delivering events to celebrate and share with the wider community encouraging positive social connections, which can enhance well-being and alleviate loneliness. The event will offer opportunities for people to come together as we transition to a post covid period and celebrate with friends, family and the wider community. The fun day will add value to other local services working in partnership with Gibshill Community centre, Gibshill Children Centre, BOCCIA – ( Key Housing ) and the youth group within the centre will encourage more effective joint initiatives. Networking with all the above groups and joint collaboration work to bring the fun day together will gave us more of an engaging tool to enable to engage with the hard to reach participants within the wider community reducing isolation, making new friends and having fun. The groups will be involved in promoting the fun day by making up posters, leaflets and advertising on various social media sites via Gibshill community centre & Gibshill Children’s centre Networking is the key and ensuring that all organisations come together to support the local community whilst tackling social exclusion and poverty whilst having access to free family fun activities.
