great place and organisation ..i have only recently joined the Shed 2 weeks ago and i am completely satisfied with the services provided ..welcomed in with warm hands ..given tea/coffee on my first visit to the Shed ..tea/coffee is regularly available to members when visiting The Shed, I had no clue about a workshop since school as thats not my line of work however i now know how to navigate a workshop responsibly and have been learning how to work the wood plane machine and currently going to learn other machines as i go along to the groups ...100% outstanding

The Shed is a great place for the community. As well as providing a space for individuals to meet and have a cuppa it provides space and equipment to pursue a variety of interests at different times of the day.
In addition to this it is involved in a variety of community projects from developing growing spaces to making items for nurseries and primary schools.
This place also allows members to meet others, make friends and provide an escape from social isolation.

The Inverclyde Shed is fast becoming a great resource, not just for practical skill sharing but for companionship, advice and a listening ear. Many an invaluable conversation has been had over a cup of tea, or during a craft or music session or whilst working with others on a project. Positive and practical approach to supporting mental wellbeing is at the forefront of all our many inclusive activities. The ability to offer extended opening and even more outreach to the local community can redouble our efforts in this regard. A Warm Hand of Friendship grant will allow us to do this and hopefully include even more people.

Great organisation with over 450 members from all walks of life and facing a wide range of issues, making genuine lasting friendships over creative activities.

Inverclyde Shed gets people together, working side by side... but this leads to so much more. Friendships are formed, and the Warm Space in the tearoom becomes a most important space in the lives of many people. This fund would allow more warm, sociable time for more people, many of whom would be cold & isolated otherwise. It's so important for so many people, and very much deserves grant funding.
